Resin Cast Cord Keepsakes: Common Questions
I’m not local to Margaret River, can I still have my cord cast?
Yes! I offer resin cord casting Australia-wide, so if you aren’t local you can still send your dried cord keepsake to me via post to have cast. Postage details and instructions are provided upon ordering. Keepsakes must fit within a 14cm diameter to fit the resin mould - most heart or spiral keepsakes do, but it is best to measure first, just to be sure!
My placenta is frozen in my freezer, how can I have my cord cast?
If you are located within my collection radius, I can collect your placenta to dry your cord for you. Your placenta will be returned frozen upon completion.
If you are outside of my collection radius, I am able to provide detailed instructions for you to dry your own cord. This can be done in your home oven if you don’t have a dehydrator. Don’t worry if your dried cord doesn’t turn out perfectly! I am also able to rehydrate and reshape the cord if need be after you send it to me (but I will of course keep your shape if you are happy with it - it is so special to have a keepsake shaped by mama!)
Can I include my own treasures to be cast with my cord?
Of course! If you have any special treasures, beads or mementos you would like cast I would love to include them for you. Please note that anything to be cast must be completely dry or dehydrated. I am happy to dry things out for you in my dehydrator if you need.
Can I choose my floral and crystal colour scheme?
Yes! You can select your crystal and flower colour choices when you order. If you would like additional colours or a particular colour-scheme simply contact me via @the.birth.temple or lily@placentatemple.com.au and I’ll be sure to take note. Each cord and casting is unique and it is an honour to create these sacred artworks. I love to make them as personalised as possible.
